The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Event Details

Please note: Masks are required for all in-person, indoor and outdoor program participants, with the exception of those younger than 2 years old and those with a medical condition or disability that prevents them from wearing one, per state guidelines.

Start the new year off with a new hobby. Winter is a great time to get started. Birds come to feeders and can be viewed and identified. Pick up your list at the nature center and challenge yourself to find as many birds as you can on a hike through the preserve.

Just dress to be outdoors and bring along binoculars. Nature Center staff will be on hand to get you started and to help familiarize you with various guides, applications, websites and equipment that can help you to be a birder.

This program will also be offered from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, January 17.

Event Requirements

No registration required.

This self-guided hike will allow participants to choose the duration of their walk. The trail lengths vary from .03 to 3 miles on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering, or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
