The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Event Details

Please note: Masks are required for all in-person, indoor and outdoor program participants, with the exception of those younger than 2 years old and those with a medical condition or disability that prevents them from wearing one, per state guidelines.

It’s not quite winter yet, but winter birds are already in our area. Join an interpretive naturalist for this guided hike through the preserve in search of our winter residents. With the leaves off the trees, it is often easier to find birds and to get a good look at them as they search the late fall woods for food.

All birders are welcome from beginner to expert. Bring along binoculars and your favorite field guide and dress for the weather.

Event Requirements

Registration required by Friday, December 11: 708.946.2216.

Participants may hike up to 2 miles on uneven trails. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering, or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
