Hummingbird migration is underway, and the birds are making lots of visits to feeders to fuel up for their journey south. This is a perfect time to hang out in the hummingbird courtyard at Plum Creek Nature Center.
Bring your own chair and snacks and spend an hour or all morning; it’s up to you. Sit and enjoy as the birds flit back and forth to the feeders, flying right overhead. A roving naturalist will be on hand to share hummingbird facts and answer questions about these tiny winged jewels.
Registration required by Saturday, July 31: 708.946.2216.
The visitor center and adjacent outdoor areas are accessible. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering, or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
