Snowshoeing

With a deep snowfall, snowshoeing provides a unique way to enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of a brisk winter day. This winter activity can be enjoyed at a variety of Will County forest preserves.

Snowshoeing regulations

When snowshoeing, please be aware of other trail users and exercise proper judgment for the safety of everyone.

Slower traffic should stay to the right of the trail. Do not block the trail. Use no more than half of the trail width when in a group and be sure to watch and listen for other trail users.

Additional regulations apply. For more information, read the District's General Use Ordinance No. 124 or call 815-727-8700.
