Boating Activity Fees
Pedalboat Rental
Pedalboats are available for rental at Monee Reservoir. Pedalboats have a maximum capacity of four persons per boat (955 pounds). There is no fishing from pedalboats.

A $20 cash deposit is required on all boat rentals. Renters must be 18 years old and bring a valid driver's license or state ID. A $20 late fee will be charged if boats are not returned by 5:00 p.m. in April and September 15-October 31, or 7:00 p.m. May 1-September 14.
Activity Fee: $10/hour
Rowboat Rental
Rowboats are available for rental at Monee Reservoir. Rowboats have a maximum capacity of four persons per boat. Only electric trolling motors are allowed. Boats must leave the dock while fishing.

A $20 cash deposit is required on all boat rentals. Renters must be 18 years old and bring a valid driver's license or state ID. A $20 late fee will be charged if boats are not returned by 5:00 p.m. in April and September 15-October 31, or 7:00 p.m. May 1-September 14.

Batteries for personal trolling motors are available for rental at Monee Reservoir.

Camping Activity Fees
Family Camping
Family camping is for groups not associated with a particular organization or club. The fee listed is for a group of up to six individuals. For more information or to check availability, contact the Sugar Creek Administration Center at 815.727.8700.

Canoeing/Kayaking Activity Fees
Canoe/Kayak Launch Pass
A seasonal canoe/kayak launch pass is valid at Monee Reservoir May 1-September 30.
Activity Fee: $7/day, $30/season
Canoe/Kayak Rental
Canoes and kayaks are available for rental at Monee Reservoir. Canoes have a maximum capacity of three persons per canoe. Regular kayaks have a maximum capacity of one person per kayak, and tandem kayaks have a maximum capacity of two persons per kayak.

Dog Exercising Activity Fees
Dog Park Permit - Annual
There is a maximum of three dogs per permit.
Resident: $40/one dog, $55/two dogs, $70/three dogs
Non-Resident: $80/one dog, $110/two dogs, $140/three dogs

The senior citizen permit is for applicants who are age 65 years or older. There is a maximum of three dogs per permit.
Resident: $35/one dog, $45/two dogs, $55/three dogs
Non-Resident: $70/one dog, $90/two dogs, $110/three dogs
Dog Park Permit - Daily
There is a maximum of three dogs per permit; the charge is per dog.

Half-year permits are available beginning July 1. There is a maximum of three dogs per permit.
Resident: $25/one dog, $35/two dogs, $45/three dogs
Non-Resident: $50/one dog, $70/two dogs, $90/three dogs

Fishing License
A fishing license is required for anyone at least 16 years of age who fishes a public Illinois waterway, and may be purchased from Monee Reservoir or the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
Resident: $5.50/day, $15/year
Non-Resident: $5.50/day, $31.50/year (Out-of-State)
Fishing License (Senior Citizen)
The Senior Citizen fishing license is for applicants who are age 65 or older and are Illinois residents. A fishing license is required for anyone at least 16 years of age who fishes a public Illinois waterway, and may be purchased from Monee Reservoir or the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
Activity Fee: $5.50/day, $7.75/year (Illinois Residents Only)
Fishing Pole Rental
Fishing poles are available for rental at Monee Reservoir. A $10 cash deposit is required for rental. Renters must be 18 years old and bring a valid driver's license or state ID. Fishing poles must be returned by 7:00 p.m., or a $5 late fee will be charged.

Picnicking Activity Fees
Picnic Grove Rental
The District offers one picnic grove for rental, Monee Grove at Monee Reservoir. Renters must be 18 years old and bring a valid driver's license or state ID.
Resident: $35
Non-Resident: $70
Picnic Shelter Rental (200+ Capacity)
The District offers one picnic shelter with a capacity of 200, Bluegill Hill Shelter at Monee Reservoir. Renters must be 18 years old and bring a valid driver's license or state ID.
Resident: $100

Picnic Shelter Rental (Four Rivers Shelter)
The Four Rivers Shelter at McKinley Woods in Channahon is a large-capacity shelter with electricity. Call 815.722.9470 to check availability or arrange for rental. Rental availability of the Four Rivers Shelter may also be viewed in the Four Rivers availability calendars.

Picnic Shelter Rental (Under 200 Capacity)

The District offers three picnic shelters with electricity at McKinley Woods - Kerry Sheridan Grove in Channahon, Riverview Farmstead in Naperville, and Joliet Iron Works Historic Site in Joliet. Renters must be 18 years old and bring a valid driver's license or state ID.

Sledding Activity Fees
Inner Tube Rental
Renters must be 18 years old and bring a valid driver's license or state ID. Tubes may be limited to one tube per license/ID. Tubes are rented until one hour before sunset.

Snowshoeing Activity Fees
Snowshoe Rental
Snowshoes are available for rental at Monee Reservoir. A $10 cash deposit is required for snowshoe rental. Renters must be 18 years old and bring a valid driver's license or state ID.

Sport Rentals
Sport rentals including bean bag, ladder ball, horseshoe, and volleyball games are available at Monee Reservoir. A $10 cash deposit is required for sport rentals. Renters must be 18 years old and bring a valid driver's license or state ID.
