Trail Location and Access

The Route 30 Bikeway travels 7.56 miles from Walona Avenue in New Lenox through Mokena to 78th Avenue in Frankfort.

The trail is jointly owned and managed by the Forest Preserve District, Village of New Lenox, Village of Mokena, and Village of Frankfort. The Forest Preserve District owns 0.39 mile and manages an additional 0.75 miles of the trail.

The Route 30 Bikeway is a flat, paved linear trail that travels along Route 30. It is ideal for the following activities:Trail Connections

Hickory Creek Bikeway: At the District's Hickory Creek Preserve - Hickory Creek Barrens in New Lenox and Hickory Creek Preserve - Hickory Creek Junction in Mokena, the Route 30 Bikeway connects to the 3.68-mile, linear paved western segment of the Hickory Creek Bikeway. The trail also connects to the 2.9-mile, linear paved eastern segment of the Hickory Creek Bikeway at the Frankfort Township Assessor's Office on Route 30.

Old Plank Road Trail: Hickory Creek Junction provides a 0.65-mile paved trail connection south to the 21-mile, linear paved Old Plank Road Trail. Street routes from Hickory Creek Barrens also connect to the Old Plank Road Trail.
