Plum Creek Greenway Trail
The seven-mile-long Plum Creek Greenway has been the District's largest preservation project with over 2,200 acres protected since 1938. These lands are divided into five areas: Goodenow Grove Nature Preserve, Plum Valley PreserveMoeller Woods, Plum Valley Ravines, and the Vincennes Trail.

These holdings protect the Plum Creek watershed's natural, geological, paleontological, archaeological, and scenic resources. Currently, Goodenow Grove Nature Preserve is the only preserve within the greenway to provide public access.

Equestrians on TrailThe Plum Creek Greenway Trail is planned to extend from Goodenow Grove in the south to Plum Valley Ravines in the north and to connect to regional and multi-use preserve trails.

In 2011, development began on the first phase of the trail, from 265th Street in the north to Goodenow Road in the south. Development will include approximately three miles of 10-foot-wide multi-use limestone screening trail, which will provide a six-mile (round-trip) experience for equestrians and bicyclists, with additional natural trail loops for hiking and cross-country skiing. The improvements will also include a small parking area on Goodenow Road. View more information about this project.
