In 2008 and 2009, the District acquired 198 acres of a woodland grove located along a scenic and winding stretch of Forked Creek on Donohue Road in Wesley Township to create Donohue Grove Preserve.

In 2010 and 2011, the preserve was expanded to 338 acres.
