Lake Renwick Preserve - Copley Nature Park

View From Gazebo at Copley Nature ParkLocated on U.S. Route 30 in Lake Renwick Preserve, Copley Nature Park was acquired in 1998 to further protect the sensitive bird species of Lake Renwick Heron Rookery Nature Preserve. The Nature Preserve includes 200 acres of lake which contains numerous small islands used for nesting by great blue herons, great egrets, black-crowned night herons, double-crested cormorants, and cattle egrets.

The small, 3-acre Copley Nature Park offers fixed viewing scopes which allow for up-close bird watching from a completely different vantage point than is seen from the Lake Renwick Heron Rookery viewing area. A 0.1-mile hiking trail leads from the small parking lot to the gazebo where the viewing scopes are located.
