Spring Creek Greenway Trail
Aerial View of Spring Creek Greenway TrailThe 3.5-mile Spring Creek Greenway Trail includes three loops within Messenger Marsh Preserve in Homer Glen. Comprised of crushed limestone, this multi-use trail is open to equestrian use, with parking in the preserve for horse trailers.

The topography of the trail is rolling, following the property's hollows and inclines, and it passes through prairie, woodlands, and marshlands.

Visitors can also relax under a picnic shelter in the preserve, or stop by the dog park to let man's best friend have some off-leash fun (permit required).

An additional 2.5-mile section of the Spring Creek Greenway Trail is being developed to the west as part of an extensive restoration at Hadley Valley Preserve.
