Prairie Bluff Preserve Development
Project Name:
Prairie Bluff Preserve Development
Project Location:
The project is located at Prairie Bluff Preserve, west of Route 53 between Renwick Road and Division Street in Crest Hill.
Project Description:
The Prairie Bluff Preserve Development project consists of the development of an access area and 2- to 3-mile loop trail system within Prairie Bluff Preserve. The 10-foot-wide, multi-purpose asphalt bike trail will connect to the Arbor Glen and the Fields of Longmeadow subdivisions in addition to adjacent facilities managed by the Lockport Township Park District.

This project is funded by a Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Grant and the Forest Preserve District's Capital Improvement Program.

Construction is planned for April 2011 through June 2012. The project schedule is subject to change due to permit requirements.
