Prairie Bluff Preserve Development
Project Description:
The Prairie Bluff Preserve Development project will consist of an access area and 2-3 mile loop trail system within the preserve. The 10'-wide, multi-purpose asphalt bike trail will connect to the Arbor Glen and the Fields of Longmeadow subdivisions in addition to adjacent facilities managed by the Lockport Township Park District.
A public information meeting regarding this project took place on June 24, 2010. Construction is planned for September 2010 through December 2011, but is subject to change. Notice of the proposed construction dates will be posted at ReconnectWithNature.org.
This project is being funded by a DCEO Grant and the Forest Preserve District's Capital Improvement Program. Selection of a project contractor is anticipated in August 2010.
