Messenger Woods Nature Preserve Enhancements
Project Description:
The Messenger Woods Nature Preserve Improvements project consists of pavement repairs, accessible pathways, accessible camping areas, and replacement of the latrine at Messenger Woods Nature Preserve.
This project is being funded by the Forest Preserve District's Capital Improvement Program.
Construction is planned for September 2011 through May 2012. Portions
of the preserve may be closed for short periods of time during
construction to ensure public safety while the work takes place. Permits for picnic shelters and camping facilities are unavailable until construction is complete.
