The project is located at McKinley Woods, between McKinley Woods Road and the Des Plaines River in Channahon Township.
Project Description:
The McKinley Woods Habitat Restoration project consisted of invasive species control, trash removal, and the installation of native seed in a 107.2-acre section of McKinley Woods.
This project was funded by the Northeast Illinois Wetlands Conservation Account.
Work was completed in December 2011.
