Braidwood Dunes and Savanna Nature Preserve Habitat Restoration
Project Description:
The Braidwood Dunes and Savanna Nature Preserve Habitat Restoration project will consist of selective clearing of trees and shrubs, invasive species control, prescribed burning, and native species seeding and plant installation within the 315-acre Braidwood Dunes and Savanna Nature Preserve.
This project is funded by the Ridge Property Trust, Exelon Generations Supplemental Environmental Project, and the Forest Preserve District's Capital Improvement Program.
Work is planned for January 2011 through December 2015.
