Project Location:
The project is located at Keepataw Preserve, between Bluff Road and the Des Plaines River in DuPage Township.
Project Description:
The Keepataw Preserve Habitat Restoration project consists of invasive brush removal and control, and possibly treatment of invasive herbaceous species and native seeding in a 15-acre section of Keepataw Preserve. This section is located west of the habitat restoration work completed in 2010 and 2011.
This project is funded by a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Work is planned for November 2011 through December 2012.
