The project is located at Plum Valley Ravines, south of Steger Road between Torrence Avenue and State Line Road, in Crete Township.
Project Description:
The Plum Valley Ravines Firebreak Installation project consists of the installation of a 2,743-foot permanent firebreak at Plum Valley Ravines to improve the implementation and management of prescribed burning activities.
This project is funded by the Forest Preserve District's construction and development funds.
Work is planned for May through September 2012.
