The project was located at Vermont Cemetery Preserve on Normantown Road, south of Wolf's Crossing Road in Naperville.
Project Description:
The Vermont Cemetery Preserve Prairie Seeding and Trail and Access Development project consisted of hydrologic restoration, dormant prairie seeding, prairie maintenance, trail development, and access area construction at Vermont Cemetery Preserve. The access area includes a trailhead, an overlook of the cemetery, and 1.2 miles of multi-purpose asphalt trail.

This project was funded by purchase agreement escrow funds.

Prairie seeding began in the autumn of 2011, with maintenance continuing through 2014.

Access area and trail construction began in April 2012
and concluded in September 2013. The access area opened to the public on September 12, 2013.
