The property is located east of Route 53/Independence Blvd. and north of 135th Street/Romeo Road in Romeoville.
Project Description:
The District acquired the Centennial Trail from the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago on December 19, 2013. This property contains 326.4 acres and has been leased by the Forest Preserve District since 1993.

The acquisition of this property allows the Forest Preserve District to ensure long-term protection of the District's current ownership of the Centennial Trail and nearby Romeoville Prairie Nature Preserve and Keepataw Preserve.
