Woods Walk Photo Contest

To commemorate the 10-year anniversary of our Woods Walk Challenge, we have partnered with The Herald-News to sponsor the Woods Walk Photo Contest. Take photos as you are hiking one of the Woods Walk Challenge trails from June through November, and submit your best ones to be judged by The Herald-News' professional photographers!

Winning photos will be published in the newspaper and on The Herald-News Web site, and will be used in Forest Preserve media as well. In addition, the first-place winner will receive a digital photo frame, the second-place winner will receive a certificate for one free picnic rental with the Will County Forest Preserve District, and the third-place winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to Borders bookstores and a Will County Forest Preserve District walking stick.

I understand that by submitting my entry into the Forest Preserve District of Will County's Woods Walk Photo Contest, I agree to the contest rules, state that I am 18 years of age or older, and certify that I have the right to distribute this photo. For a photo in which a person is recognizable, I agree that I have permission to distribute this photo from the subject or, in the case of a minor, the subject's parent or guardian, and will provide written permission to the Forest Preserve District upon request. I also give permission for the Forest Preserve District of Will County and The Herald-News to publish this photo at their discretion.
