Description:
Welcome new instructor Theresa Przybylski, who comes to the Forest Preserve with 20 years of experience as an agility instructor. Theresa is passionate about all of the wonderful activities available to dogs and their owners and is eager to teach for the District. Join Theresa and her award-winning Siberian Huskies for seven-week agility classes at Whalon Lake. Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Dog Agility courses are offered for a variety of pet abilities. The Beginner course offers an overview of agility handling. Intermediate and Advanced courses introduce the owner and dog to more advanced skills and techniques. Courses are taught through positive reinforcement. Equipment may include weave poles, tunnels, and A-frames.

Event Requirements:
Registration is required for this program by August 6 by completing and submitting the registration form and program fee. You must possess a current dog park permit in order to participate in the class. All dogs must be up-to-date on rabies and DHLP (or titer tested). Limit two dogs per handler. For this advanced class, the dog(s) must be able to run the full course off-leash. This program will be held outside in the dog park on uneven natural terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering, or submit a request on-line no later than 48 hours before the program.
