The Grinton Grove portion of Hammel Woods - Route 59 Access in Troy Township is closed for parking lot, roadway, and trail removal and repair.
As part of the Hammel Woods - Grinton Grove Improvement project taking place in 2012 and 2013, the District is construction improvements to Grinton Grove that include upgrades to parking, accessible paths, latrine, and an expansion of the DuPage River Trail south, under the Jefferson Street bridge, to link with a trail proposed by the Village of Shorewood.
This portion of the preserve may be closed through 2013. Weather and other variables may impact the construction schedule. Updates will be posted on this Web site as they become available.
