The frog may have been doing its best to blend in at Hickory Creek Preserve,
but Lauren Dundek of New Lenox managed to capture this beautiful shot and has been picked as the first monthly finalist by our panel of judges in the Forest Preserve District of Will County's Preserve the Moment photo contest.
As the June finalist, Dundek's photo will be entered in the final round of judging after the contest ends on Dec. 31. The overall winner will be determined through online judging by members of the public.
The first-place winner will receive a wireless HP color printer, the second-place winner will receive a messenger-style bag with a padded laptop sleeve, and the third place winner will receive a fleece blanket.
Each participant will receive a gift for entering the contest, and the photo submissions will be shared online on the Districtís website and Flickr
pages and may be used in other District marketing efforts. Submitted photos must be taken by amateur photographers in Forest Preserve District of Will County locations during the time period specified.
So grab your camera and start snapping pictures, but remember to upload your best photos monthly to be in the running for final contest judging and prizes. Participants are limited to entering no more than five photos per month.
All photos should be submitted using our online submission form
and must adhere to all contest rules.Photo courtesy of Lauren Dundek
